Shahab Hosseini, whose full name is Seyed Shahabuddin Hosseini Tankabani, born on 14 Bahman 1352 in Tehran, is an Iranian actor, filmmaker and TV host of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He has received the award for the best actor.
He has won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2011: for the film “A Rare Separation” from Simin and jointly with Asghar Farhadi.
Shahab Hosseini is being criticized for what was implied in the Fajr Film Festival in 1400. He was one of the opponents of Fajr festival boycott in 2018.
In March, 1400 videos of him were published, which were interpreted as his farewell to Iranian cinema.
