History of artistic activity
In 2003, he started working as an amateur theater in Hamedan, and according to him, he chose acting in the theater to get away from everyday life.
But little by little, he became interested in this profession and in 2009 he made the biggest decision of his life, emigrating from Hamedan to the capital – Tehran and participating in Hamid Samandarian acting classes.
With this migration and change of procedure, he was able to approach the professional level of acting and increase his activity in the field of theater.
Much of his artistic activity is in the theater; During the last few years, he has mostly had a colorful presence in the Fajr Theater Festival.
His first nomination for the Fajr Theater Festival came at the age of 24.
In his recent activities in the field of theater, he directed the play Hedgehog, in which he accidentally wrote and staged his life story. The show was well received.
His special physics and difficulties in playing the role
Bahram Afshari is about 2 meters (198 cm) tall, so at the beginning of entering the field of acting, he had lack of self-confidence due to his height, and because of this, he was prevented from doing so.
On the other hand, those around him and the people of cinema and theater always saw this problem of his height as an obstacle to his progress and emphasized on this issue.
But it is interesting to know that some directors, including Manouchehr Hadi, who at first did not have a positive opinion on Bahram Afshari’s activity in cinema, later used him in their works in cinema.

Finally, he entered the cinema in 2013 with the film I am not angry, made by Reza Dermishian, and after entering this field, he gave a special color and smell to his activities.
According to Bahram Afshari, in these experiences of cinema and television, physics and his height have always caused differences between factors such as the director and producers to select him for acting.
His collaboration with Sirus Moghaddam began with a short role in Capital 2, and then he started the alternate series with this director. But the peak of his appearance and popularity with Cyrus Moghadam happened in Capital 5 in the role of Behtash Fariba; So that although he is of Hamedan origin, but in a way he took on the character of Mazandaran, which sometimes the audience has the impression that Bahram Afshari is of northern origin.
